Patients are PHA’s Guests of Honor At Our O2 breathe Walks

This year’s O2 breathe Walks in New York City, Baltimore, and Philadelphia will feature Patient/Survivor/PHer tents. These designated areas offer the opportunity for our patients, both long-term and newly diagnosed, along with their family members, to easily meet others living with the disease. We hope to build an environment of hope and support for all of our patients living with this disease. As our guests of honor, each patient will be given a special t-shirt, featuring the words Living with PH. There is no cost for patients or participants to register. PH-er’s will be offered a place to sit comfortably with snacks and beverages while friends, family members, colleagues and volunteers walk for them, if they are physically unable to participate. Prior to our walk starts, our survivors will be honored during the opening ceremonies and asked to take a group photo.

Help us celebrate the lives of PHer’s and walk with us as we raise funds and awareness to end pulmonary hypertension. There is no cost to participate-so register today!

Walk at the Philly Zoo Nets More Than $65K!

This past Sunday family and friends joined together at the zoo for the first annual Philadelphia O2 breathe Walk. Nearly 500 walkers gathered, sharing stories, music, friendship and a common goal. It was a wonderfully successful day. With proceeds at $65,000 and counting, the walk's participants made quite an impact on our fight to cure pulmonary hypertension. We look forward to next year's event and gathering together again. A big PH thank you to everyone who participated!

New York City Taxis Playing PHA's Public Service Announcements!

PHA's Greater New York and Philadelphia Chapter worked with PH parent and advocate Steve Van Wormer as part of our PSA Blitz to get PHA's public service announcements played in New York City taxi cabs. They will be running for the next couple weeks leading up to the Chapter's New York City O2 breathe Walk along with an ad about the walk!

This is a great opportunity for PH awareness raising -- educating millions of New Yorkers and visitors about pulmonary hypertension. If you or someone you know sees one let us know by posting to the NY-Philly Chapter Facebook page or tweet @phanyphilly.

We also invite you to come out for the New York City O2 breathe Walk on June 1 at the South Street Seaport. The event will include a live performance by PHer and writer of PH anthem "Brave" Chloe Temtchine as well as food, activities for kids and a beautiful walk along the water. There is no cost to participate so bring the entire family and encourage your friends and colleagues to do the same. Register now

We're Up & Running!

The NY Tri-State Area Chapter is now officially open and eagerly raising awareness and funds in the Tri-State Area to fight pulmonary hypertension.

Our first events will be the O2 Breathe Walks. In addition to raising funds to fight PH, O2 Breathe Walks will bring the PH community of patients, caregivers, medical professionals, family, friends and angel families to stand as one against PH at a fun and meaningful event.

After the O2 Breathe Walks, we will be holding Golf Tournaments, a team for the NY City Marathon and end the year with the First Annual O2 Breathe Gala.

Check back often for news and updates, and feel free to contact us anytime!
